Obituary for Jimmy F. Prentice

ALEXANDRIA, IN-Jimmy F. Prentice, 89, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus in Anderson following an extended illness.

He was born on May 25, 1928 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to James and Mina (Carter) Prentice. Jimmy was a graduate of Alexandria High School-Class of 1946. He retired from Delco-Remy, Plant 17 in 1993 after 47 years of employment, He enjoyed fishing, tinkering with cars and time spent with his family.

Survivors- Mary Beth (Timothy) Steele-Daleville, Susan (Bobby) Eliason-Middletown
Son-Jeff Prentice-Alexandria
4 Grandchildren
5 Great-Grandchildren
2 Sisters-Joan Faucett and Phyllis Swartout both of Anderson
Several nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents, His wife-Barbara (Wilhelm) Prentice in 1973, a sister-Glena Sue Gray

Graveside rites will take place at 1 pm on Wednesday, in the IOOF Cemetery, State Road 9 in Alexandria with Elder Bobby Eliason officiating. Friends may call at the Owens Funeral Home in Alexandria from 4 pm to 8 pm Tuesday.

The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Bethany Pointe and Kindred Hospice for the compassionate care given to Jimmy and their family.
