Obituary for Teddy "Ted" E. Ashby

ALEXANDRIA, IN- Teddy “Ted” E. Ashby, 82, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at his residence following a brief illness.

He was born April 14, 1936 in Greenfield, Indiana to Edgar and Emma (Roland) Ashby. Ted served his country in the United States Marine Corp. in Korea. He had worked at Kennedy’s Enterprises for 10 years, retiring in 2004. He was a member of the Open Door Church of God in Alexandria. He enjoyed watching TV and spending time with family.

Daughters- Teddie Williams and Vonda (Bill) Waymire all of Alexandria
Son – Brian (Melanie) Ashby of Alexandria
Several grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Several nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Christy Campbell; sister, Janet Smith and brother-in-law, Harold Smith.

Services honoring Ted’s life and legacy will take place at 7 pm on Thursday, August 16, 2018 in the Owens Funeral Home, 412 North Harrison Street, Alexandria. Pastor Tyler Haley will officiate. Cremation will follow the services and private interment will take place in Park View Cemetery in Alexandria. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 pm on Thursday prior to the services.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Owens Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses. Donation can be made directly through the funeral home web-site, or envelopes will be available at the visitation.
