Obituary for James E. "Jim" Rodney

ALEXANDRIA, IN-Former Alexandria resident, James E. “Jim” Rodney, 73, passed away unexpectedly at his residence in Tavares, Florida on June 6, 2018.

Jim was born on October 27, 1944 in Greencastle, Indiana to Katherine Rossock and John Rodney. He was a graduate of Alexandria-Monroe High School-Class of 1962. He served in the United States Army and the Indiana National Guard from 1964 to 1970. Jim retired from Delco-Remy after 30 years of employment. He has lived in Florida since 1991. He was a former member of the Tavares Masonic Lodge, the Orlando Shrine, the Lake County Shrine Club and the Alexandria Eagles. He was a member of the AMVETs in Dora, Florida. Jim was an avid fisherman.

Brother-John (Judy) Rodney-Honolulu, Hawaii
Nephew-Joe Rodney-Anderson
Niece-Ann Marie Suter-Pendleton
Several cousins

He was preceded in death by his parents

Services honoring Jim’s life and legacy will take place at 1 pm on Friday, June 15, 2018 in the Noffze Funeral Home, 501 North Harrison Street, Alexandria. Interment with military honors will follow in Park View Cemetery in Alexandria. Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 am on Friday until the hour of service.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association through the funeral home.
