Obituary for Anna E. Kane

SUMMITVILLE, IN-Anna E. Kane, 91, Summitville passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Bethany Pointe Health campus following an extended illness.

She was born on May 10, 1927 in Elwood to Harley and Margaret (Sullivan) Acres and has lived in the Summitville area for most of her lifetime. She was a graduate of Elwood High School-Class of 1945. Anna had worked at Continental Can in Elwood and Aladdin Industries in Alexandria. For most of her life she has been dedicated to the care and nurturing of her family as a homemaker.


Survivors:
2 Daughters-Janet (Clayton) Rudy and Jenny (Tim) Hiatt all of Summitville
6 Grandchildren-Chad (Abbi) Rudy, Todd (Jodi) Rudy and Christy (Tom) Massie all of Summitville,
Ritchie Rudy-Summitville, Heather (Shawn) Warner-Bellingham, Washington, Jason Hiatt-Kemah, Texas
11 Great-Grandchildren
Sister-Margaret Ellis-Summitville
Brother-James (Florence) Acres-Noblesville
Nieces and nephews

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband-James W. Kane in 2017, 3 brothers-Harley Acres, Henry Acres and George Acres

Family and friends are invited to graveside services honoring Anna’s life and legacy at 3 pm, Monday, June 18, 2018 at Park View Cemetery in Alexandria. Mike Owens will officiate and interment will follow.

The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff and caregivers at the Bethany Pointe for the compassionate care they gave to Anna and our family.
