Obituary for Marvin E. Trice

ORESTES, IN- Marvin E. Trice, 87, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at North Woods Village in Kokomo following an extended illness.

He was born on April 10, 1931 in Madison, Indiana to Robert and Gertrude (Atkinson) Trice and has lived in Orestes all of his lifetime. Marvin served his country in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953. He retired from Continental Can in Elwood in 1984 after 33 years of employment. He also farmed in the Orestes community. He bred and raised beagle hounds, chickens and pigeons and sold and shipped them all over the country. Marvin attended the Orestes Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife-Louise (Koopman) Trice in 2000,
13 brothers and sisters

Services honoring Marvin’s life will take place at 3 pm on Sunday, September 16, 2018 in the Owens Funeral Home, 412 North Harrison Street, Alexandria. Interment with military honors will follow in Vinson Memorial Cemetery in Summitville. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 pm on Sunday prior to the services.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association through the funeral home.
